Four-Day Introduction to Intermediate Course

Start the week learning the basics of risk assessment and good decision making, then go in depth into developing good boat control and proper technique beginning first on the lake, and progressing to the river. Wind up the course learning river-running skills that will enable you to navigate our whitewater stretch and build confidence in your ability under the tutelage of our guides and instructors. Before it is all over you will have been introduced to the concepts of surfing and play-boating; your understanding and grasp of the sport will include all aspects, including creek-boating, and expedition kayaking. This course is designed to leave you with the ability to make good, well-informed decisions on the river and develop good judgment. You will leave able to start pursuing the sport on your own. Our instructors and guides will help you get started!
